Becky, our number one fan has been following our blogs for months and when she saw on the Couchsurfing community that we were looking for a place in Herkimer NY was instantly welcoming to us. I didn't even know this kind of thing was possible! Apparently Rachel's project,sustainable cycles was being discussed on a live journal group where she found out about us and the rest is just bike tour magic. The day we stayed with her also featured a massive downpour in the last hour of riding and a couple hours of delirious time killing and people watching in a Walmart.
